Inspired by the popular Wordle format, Yeardle challenges players to accurately determine the specific year in history when three random events took place. How to play
- Yeardle's main goal is to pinpoint the precise year in which three specific historical occurrences took place.
- Three Random Events: Three random events from various historical eras are provided to the players. These occurrences provide information on the year in question.
- Players can use a keyboard to enter their answers, and they can choose to place the minus sign (-) before the year to denote BC (Before Christ) or E (Anno Domini).
- The three historical events can be accurately dated with a maximum of eight attempts.
- Yeardle offers color-coded hints for wrong responses, much like Wordle does. More than 200 years off-the-mark predictions are displayed in gray, while predictions that are wrong by between 40 and 200 years are displayed in brown. Red, orange, and yellow represent more precise predictions. Green denotes a correct response.
