About Word Mesh

Welcome to the captivating world of Word Mesh, an exhilarating word game that will challenge your word-building skills and strategic thinking! If you enjoy games like Speedcross and Scrabble, you're in for a treat. Word Mesh takes wordplay to the next level by combining the excitement of a fast-paced game with the brain-teasing mechanics of creating interconnected word grids. Get ready to flex your vocabulary muscles as you embark on an adventure filled with words, tiles, and a race against the clock!

Gameplay

  1.   When the game first starts, you are handed seven letter tiles. Drag the tiles to connect each word to at least one nearby word to make interlocking words (as in Scrabble).
  2.   Once all of the tiles have been utilized to create valid words, click the "Submit" button or hit the Enter key. Next, the board will be examined to determine the accuracy of each word, its relationships to other words, and the usage of all tiles. In any other case, the necessary notification will be displayed and the problematic tiles will flash red.
  3.   If the submission is approved, the round is over, and clicking "Continue" will start the next.
  4.   Each round, you are given two new tiles, which you must then include in your word grid. To do this, you can arrange any of the tiles at any time.
  5.   Click "End Round" to advance to the next round if you are unable to use all of your tiles in one round. If so, you will lose that round's points and suffer a 30-second time penalty.
  6.   The game consists of ten rounds. The final round is the most crucial because you might get more points there (see Scoring).
  7.   Only the roughly 279,000 terms in the dkm WordMesh dictionary are acceptable. zero proper nouns.

Scoring

  •   If you complete a round, you receive points for each word that was created using the letter value of each tile.
  •   If you finish a round without using all of your tiles, you receive a zero for that round and your total time is extended by 30 seconds.
  •   Even if you fail to finish the final round, you still receive points for every word that is correct. You receive two times as many points if you successfully complete the last round.
  •   You will also receive a long word bonus for each word longer than six letters on the final round only. Seven letters = 10, Eight = 20, Nine = 40, Ten = 60, Eleven = 100, Twelve = 140.
  •   If you finish the game in less time than five minutes after the final round, you receive a time bonus. Every second under five minutes earns you an extra point.
