About Squirdle

What about Pokemon? In such a case, Squirdle is a fantastic Wordle substitute for you. Similar to Wordle, Squirdle is a guessing game with a Pokémon theme. Instead of using random phrases, Squirdle requires you to guess Pokemon names. You have eight chances to make a guess.

If you choose the incorrect answer, you'll receive a different kind of clue. It demonstrates similarities between the correct and incorrect Pokemon rather than letter placements. These hints differ depending on the type, size, and even generation of a Pokemon.

How to play

You don't have to worry about keeping track of which Pokémon have names with five letters in Squirdle. In contrast, Squirdle challenges you to determine a Pokémon using the following five factors: Gen, Type 1, Type 2, Height, and Weight. If your prediction is too high, too low, or just right, PokéBall icons will let you know. If you choose Type 2 as your prediction rather than Type 1, a side arrow will appear on the PokéBall icon.

If Squirtle is the correct generation but the incorrect Pokémon, the generation box will turn green. Up and down arrows in the boxes for height and weight indicate if the guess is too high or too low. There are specific regulations for Elemental Types. Green means you already possess it. The color yellow denotes that you successfully identified one of two categories, in this case, Water/Flying. Red means you don't have either. There are about 900 Pokémon, so there is a wide selection. If you don't know anything about Pokémon, this is challenging. Fortunately, Generation 1 fans can select the Gen 1 Only mode, which restricts the game to only Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow.

It's not a daily puzzle, so you can play as frequently as you desire. But for those who want to push themselves to the edge, there is still a daily puzzle.
