About Periodle

Word guessing game Periodle, which was inspired by Wordle. Instead of choosing a 5-letter word made up of any of the letters from A to Z, you must choose a term made up of 5 elements from the periodic table, ranging from hydrogen to Oganesson. Thus, the length of the words you can enter can range from 5 to 10 letters, as long as they can be spelled using elements from the periodic table and are recognized English terms.

Every day, all players are required to correctly identify a single word. Like many of my older creations, this game runs in German time, which can be different from your time zone. The good news is that even if words might not change at midnight, everyone always hears the same word.

Before selecting the word to guess, a collection of more than 1000 words that range in length from six to ten letters is carefully sorted. This excluded terms with five letters.

Gameplay

 - If you already know how to use Wordle, move on to the next part, "What are orange letters?"

 - You have eight chances every day to guess a word, and the elements will change color once you guess correctly to gray, orange, yellow, or green

Gray: element does not appear in the solution

Yellow: element is present but not in the solution

    Green: element in the solution

 - When you guess the right word, all the letters will turn green

Why Do Orange Letters Exist?

Periodle adds orange letters or orange elements, unlike Wordle and the majority of its clones, which only use gray, yellow, and green letters. When an element is highlighted orange, it is contained in the word to guess. But the element does not appear in the solution itself.
