About MathDoku

MathDoku is a math puzzle game that combines elements of Sudoku with mathematical operations. Players must fill the square field with numbers, ensuring each number is used once per row and once per column. The game includes segments, each with a target number and an operator (sum, deduction, multiplication, or division). The challenge is to fulfill the segment's target number using the specified operation, adding an extra layer of complexity to the traditional Sudoku format. MathDoku provides puzzles of various sizes and difficulties to keep players engaged and challenged.

How to Play:

 - Filling Cells: Select a cell using the keyboard or mouse and input a number using the keyboard or panel buttons. Numbers range from 1 to the puzzle size (e.g., 1 to 5 for a 5×5 puzzle).

 - Segment Rules:

  • Each number can only be used once per row and once per column, following the rules of Sudoku.
  • Segments, separated by thick lines, come with a target number and an operator. Numbers within the segment must meet the target number using the specified operation.

 - Calculator and Notes:

  • Use the built-in calculator by clicking the calculator button (C) to aid in calculations.
  • Activate the NOTES button (N) to leave notes on potential numbers for a cell. The ERASER button (Delete or E) clears the cell.

 - Help Options:

  • If stuck, use the REVEAL option (R) to show the correct answer for a single cell, the entire segment, or the entire puzzle.
  • The HINT button (H) highlights incorrect numbers. If everything is correct, it reveals one of the empty cells instead.

 - Game Setup:

  • Choose the puzzle size (3×3 to 9×9) and difficulty level. Higher difficulties present larger segments, more challenging calculations, and fewer one-cell segments at the start.
  • Daily puzzles offer extra challenges with three puzzles of the day, surpassing even the Hard difficulty level.

 - Scoring System:

  • Earn scores for each correctly solved cell, with larger puzzles and higher difficulties offering more rewards.
  • Bonus scores for difficulty, correct first-time fills, quick solving, fewer total moves, and forgoing Hint and Reveal options.

MathDoku provides a refreshing and intellectually stimulating take on traditional Sudoku, offering players a mathematical challenge with varying puzzle sizes and difficulties. With the added complexity of segments and operations, MathDoku is a delightful puzzle experience that rewards both logical thinking and mathematical prowess. Dive into the world of MathDoku, have fun solving the puzzles, and embrace the challenge of this unique mathematical twist on a classic game.
