Welcome to Immaculate Footy, the ultimate football trivia challenge! Test your knowledge of football players, clubs, and stats in this daily brain-teasing game brought to you by Immaculate Grid and powered by FBref. Get ready to showcase your expertise by strategically selecting players that fit the criteria and filling out the grid with precision. With a new grid available every day at 9:00 a.m ET, you'll have the chance to prove your football mastery time and time again.
- Objective: Your goal is to fill out a 3x3 grid with football players who match both the row and column criteria based on specific attributes like competitions, seasons, clubs, and more.
- Grid Cells: Each cell in the grid represents a unique intersection of criteria. You must select a player for each cell that meets the requirements of both the corresponding row and column.
- Guess Limit: You have a total of nine guesses to complete the entire grid. Each guess you make, whether it's correct or incorrect, counts towards this limit.
- Player Selection: Choose players who have participated in the specified competitions during the given seasons. These competitions include top men's and women's leagues, as well as European tournaments.
- Club and Country Matching: Ensure that the selected players have played at least one game for the stated club and have the nationality of the mentioned country. If a player has dual nationality, they match for both countries unless they've appeared in a senior national team competition covered on FBref. In that case, they'll be associated with the country they appeared for in the senior national team.
- Team and Season Stat: When filling cells related to team and season stats, make sure that the player's recorded stat aligns with the club's performance during the domestic league competitions listed.
- Player Reusability: Once you've used a player for a cell, you cannot select them again for another cell in the same grid.
