About Chessle

Chessle is a unique spin-off of Wordle that caters to chess enthusiasts. Instead of guessing words, players must deduce the opening sequence of a chess game. The game is inspired by Nimzo's Indian defense, and players have six chances to guess the correct order of moves for both white and black players. Just like Wordle, Chessle uses color-coded hints to show where players are correct or incorrect in their moves. With the option to switch between Normal and Hard modes, players can adjust the game's difficulty level to suit their chess expertise.

How to play

 - Opening Sequence: In Chessle, players must choose the proper sequence for both the white and black players' opening movements, paying particular attention to Nimzo's Indian defense. Prior to starting the game, the objective is to determine the exact beginning sequence.

 - Hints and feedback are provided by the color coding of the players' actions. For instance:

  •          Green: Denotes a move that was executed in that specific situation.
  •          Yellow: Indicates a move that was played but not exactly where it was played.
  •          Grey: Displays a move that neither white nor black made.

 - Chess can be played in two different modes:

  •  Standard Mode: Players must predict three moves—a total of six moves—for each hue.
  •  Expert Mode: Players must determine five movements (a total of ten moves) for each color.
  •  Time Limit: Players are only permitted to play Chessle once each day, and the following round starts at 12 p.m. local time.

Game Rules and Strategy:

  • Knowledge of Chess Rules: Players should have a fundamental knowledge of chess rules, including common movements and openings, in order to play Chessle efficiently.
  • Deduction and Logical Thought: To determine the best moves to make in a game of chess, one must use logical deduction techniques. Players can narrow down the options and make educated predictions by evaluating the color-coded tips.
  • Challenge in Expert Mode: In order to progress in expert mode, players must determine five moves for each hue. The mode that best suits a player's chess prowess is their choice.
