About Binerdle

Binerdle is an exciting variation of the popular Nerdle game, inspired by Wordle, but with a focus on numbers and math operations instead of characters. As the name suggests, this game offers a unique twist by incorporating two different math operations within the same grid, increasing the level of challenge for players. While it introduces this mathematical complexity, it still retains the engaging gameplay and features that fans of its predecessors have come to love.

Gameplay

In Binerdle, the gameplay revolves around solving mathematical calculations within a set number of turns. Here's how to play:

Game Rules:

  • Upon entering the main screen, you'll encounter an empty grid divided into two sections. This design indicates two significant settings: no initial hints are provided, and two hidden calculations must be solved.
  • You have a total of 7 turns to gather clues and find the correct answers.
  • Your task is to enter precise mathematical expressions using the virtual keyboard and explore the possibilities.
  • You can use numbers from 1 to 9, as well as the four basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), and only one "=" symbol.
  • Like other games in the Wordle universe, the system provides feedback on the accuracy of your inputs using a color scheme.
    • Green indicates that the digit or math symbol is in the correct position.
    • Purple suggests swapping the digit or symbol’s position.
    • Gray indicates that the digit or symbol is not part of the final result.
  • To win, both horizontal lines in the calculations must turn completely green, indicating that you've found the correct answers for both.

Essential Notes:

  • Only numbers are allowed after the "=" symbol; you cannot include additional math operations.
  • The standard order of operations (PEMDAS/BODMAS) applies to all challenges. For example, the correct answer to "3+2*5" is 13, not 25.
  • Commutative answers are accepted unless you disable this option in the settings. In other words, both "10+20 = 30" and "20+10 = 30" are considered correct.
  • BINERDLE does not use leading or lone zeros in calculations, although this input type is still acceptable. For instance, "0+5+5=10" or "01+2+1=4" are not valid solutions. However, "5-3-2=0" is a valid response.
  • Negative numbers are not considered correct answers in BINERDLE, although they are still accepted as valid guesses.
